This is Air Green
– for artists who work with textile media.
AiR Green offers a residency program exclusively for artists whose work focuses on textile media.
Located at Søndre Green farm in Noresund, at the foot of the Norefjell mountain range in Krødsherad Municipality, Buskerud County, Norway, this residency aims to provide a space for concentrated and in-depth artistic research. AiR Green seeks to foster the development and presentation of textile art while promoting collaboration among artists who engage with textile media from diverse perspectives.
The program is managed by the organization AiR Green, driven by Søndre Green farm and in collaboration with Norwegian Textile Artists.
The residency was initiated by Norwegian Textile Artists in 2016.
Norwegian Textile Artists (NTK) announces an open call for artists whose work relates to textile media each year. NTK’s board will select participants based on the submitted material.
The deadline for 2026 residency is overdue, and the artists has been selected. For 2026 and 2027 the farm is under construction due to a fire in the main house, and we will not have any open calls in 2027.
WHO CAN APPLY
All professional artists who work with textile media, fiber art or who have a project relating to textiles. Artists can apply individually, or as a group. The residency applies solely to the artists (it does not extend to family members, partners, etc.).
The residency is open to international artists.
