As an artist, Marie Skeie is focused on working with her hands, materials, and the landscape around us. Her practice exists at the intersection of art and craft, knowledge and aesthetics, activism, and ethics. During her residency, she plans to work both practically and theoretically with land crafting through plant dyeing and weaving. Engaging in land crafting affects our relationship with and knowledge of our surroundings. In recent years, she has been working with plant dyeing in Gaza, both through the research project "Colours of Gaza" in a kindergarten and through her personal artistic work. During her residency at Søndre Green, she will continue this work, focusing on themes of grief and hope.
